Donn Francis “Woody” Wood, 70, of Princeton died peacefully at home on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019.
Donn was born to Evelyn and Francis (Hughes) Wood in Princeton on July 13, 1949. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1967 and attended Illinois Valley Community College.
Donn was a lifelong farmer, loving every minute and never shied away from a little extra horsepower. He was quick with a smile and gave a helping hand to anyone who asked.
He is survived by his sister, Joan Green of California; his children, Scott (Julie) of Omaha, and Randy (Amy) and Kory, both of Princeton; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Morgan, Claire and Henry.
Donn was preceded in death by his younger brother, Lenn, and his parents.
A celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at his home. Casual attire, per Donn’s wishes (anything Red or IH would make him smile).

My condolences to the family. I remember Donn as a valued classmate with a ready smile. He will be missed.
Was so sorry to hear of Donns passing….he and Jackie were always such a fun couple to hang out with back in the early 70s when I was new to princeton. My heart goes out to his sons. May God hold you all close during this sad time.
