Zachary Allen Sterling

Zachary Allen Sterling, 28, of Princeton, Illinois passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.
He was born July 23, 1993 in Spring Valley, Illinois the son of Toby Sterling and Mela Espinosa.
Zach is survived by his mother, Mela Espinosa of La Salle, Illinois; his father, Toby Sterling of Kewanee, Illinois; his girlfriend, Jade Atkinson of Mineral, Illinois; one daughter, Novah Sterling of Tiskilwa, Illinois; and one step-son, Leo Franklin of Mineral, Illinois; his maternal grandmother, Teresa Espinosa of Mineral, Illinois; and paternal grandmother, Sue Sterling of Galva, Illinois; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers, Manuel Espinosa and Jack Sterling; and his mom, Denise Kaufman.
He graduated from Princeton High School with the Class of 2011.
Zach owned his own business, Come Correct Bullies and he also worked at Somewhere Else in Princeton.
He really enjoyed working out, running and playing basketball with his friends. He liked listening to music and cooking. He was passionate about caring for his dogs. Zach was known to be a caring person and a trustworthy friend. He especially loved his kids, Novah and Leo.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 following the visitation at New Hope Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Laura Root-Tanner, officiating. Zach was a great guy with a giant heart.
He will be missed greatly.
