William E Neahring

William E. Neahring, 78, of Manlius died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Born Dec. 19, 1932, in Ohio, Ill., to William H. and A. Alene (Frank) Neahring, he married Doris A. Behrens June 22, 1952, in Buda. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Teresa (Roy) Reabe of Plover, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Emily) Reabe of Schaumburg, Brent (Jaime) Reabe of Clifton, N.J., Christa (Brennan) Young of Zumbrota, Minn., Sarah Reabe of Wausau, Wis., Rebecca Reabe of Plover, Wis., and Hanna (Eric) Cummings and Christopher Neahring, both of Houston, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Cummings of Houston, Texas, and Chase Reabe of Schaumburg; one sister, Emma Jean Toppert of Mineral; and one daughter-in-law, Lois Ebanks of Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Leslie E. Neahring; one brother, Lyle Neahring; one granddaughter, Holly Marie Neahring; and one grandson, Joshua Reabe. He worked for Kraft Foods in Manlius for 23 years, Hardee''s Foods Distribution in Peoria and for Kory Industry in Manlius for 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a sergeant in Germany during the Korean Conflict, 1953 to 1955. He attended the Bureau Township Community Church in rural Wyanet. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bureau Township Community Church, rural Wyanet, with the Rev. Marvin Claassen officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after services with burial at later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Bureau Township Community Church.
