William D. "Bill" Brown Jr., 63, of Princeton, died at 11:46 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Born June 15, 1945, in Princeton to William Dale and Imogene (Salmon) Brown Sr., he married Donna Marie Taylor Oct. 15, 1966, in Homestead, Fla. She survives. He was a 1964 graduate of Princeton High School. He retired from LCN Door Closers in Princeton in 2001. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a specialist fifth class in Vietnam. He was a member of Princeton VFW Post 4323. Also surviving are his mother, Imogene Brown of Geneseo; one son, Rob Brown of Princeton; two daughters, Stacey (Ricky) Ryan of Wyanet and Trisha (Chris) Maynard of Manlius; two sisters, Linda (John) Oertel of Geneseo and Joyce Norgaard of Waynesboro, Va.; and nine grandchildren, Jordan Brown, Abbie, Bryanna and Dominique Smith, Gage Smith, Keely Brown, and Tanner, Lesleigh and Reid Maynard. He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter, Lesley Brown. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with Father Edward Harkrader officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton, with military rites conducted by Princeton American Legion Post 125, Princeton VFW Post 4323 and Wyanet VFW Post 6634. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Wyanet Rescue Squad, Princeton EMS and American Heart Association.
