Vivian Mary Ann Skinner, 89, of Princeton, formerly of Sheffield, died at 1:05 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Born July 24, 1923, in Mineral to Louis and Celia (DePauw) DeSkeere, she married Albert Skinner in Missouri on Oct. 14, 1942. He died Nov. 25, 2006. Survivors include one daughter, Wanda (Perry) Forbeck of Tiskilwa; two granddaughters, Mary Kay Forbeck (Byran) Randall of Geneseo, and Ann Vivian (Brad) Elliott of Chillicothe; three great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Rachel (Cephas) Bryan of Graford, Texas and Marietta Croegaert of Nashville, Tenn.; and one brother, Lavern DeSkeere of Ohio, lll. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wilbur and Dale DeSkeere and two sisters, Delores and Arlene DeSkeere. She was a homemaker and worked side by side with her husband farming. Private family services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Manlius, the Rev. Dan Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Sheffield Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Sheffield Rescue Squad.
Dear Wanda & Family, I was so sorry to hear about your Mom, she was such a sweet heart! I have fond memories of staying out at the farm with you, they always made this city girl feel at home on the farm! You are in my thoughts & prayers Wanda. Connie
