Guestbook

  1. Dear family,
It is with regret that I cannot be there during this time of sorrow. It has been many years since I last saw my cousin, Kaye, but my memories of him are very much alive. Such as the first time I met him when he and my brother let a pig into my bedroom at Aunt Billie’s. I woke up to it snuffling my toes and Steven and Kaye laughing so hard they could barely stand. Or the time when he and Kara were goofing around in the tractor at one in the morning and they started it up. Boy was Uncle Virgil mad! There was also a time when Kaye was showing off by riding one of the huge hogs. That momma sow ran him up against the barn and almost crushed his leg. I’ve never seen anyone move so fast. It was always an adventure when we visited the Miller’s! My memories of Kaye my be out dated, but they will always be timeless.

  2. We are so very saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Kaye. Our condolences to his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. We grew to know and love Kaye and his family when they farmed our land near Manlius. We spent many hours visiting and becoming good friends as we watched our children play and grow up together in our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

  3. I too, as my sister Adele, have not seen Kaye in many, many years, but being able to spend summers in Illnois with my dad’s family, my cousins, was life changing. I learned, probably, way more than I ever needed or wanted to, about pigs and cows (thanks for all the candid comments from Kaye). Another memory, on the fonder side, was that Kaye never treated me like I was his 10-years-younger cousin. He always took me seriously and never treated me like a kid….even though I was most summers that we visited. Loved him and was proud to say he was my cousin!
