Born in: Princeton , IL
Resided in: Sheffield , IL

Timothy Kaye Miller, 59, of Sheffield, passed away on September 28, 2026, at his home in Sheffield, Illinois, surrounded by his family.

Timothy was born on April 15, 1967, in Princeton, Illinois, to Vernon “Kaye” Miller and Penny (Last) Jones.

Timothy began his working career with Miller’s Fertilizer and V & J Miller Grain. From there, he went on to work at Steve Benesh and Son’s Quarry in Oregon, Illinois, before joining Ag View FS and eventually finding his way to Holland and Sons John Deere as a mechanic; where his natural talent for working on machinery truly stood out. During his time at John Deere, he earned more than 20 certifications, a testament to his knowledge, determination, and dedication to his work. No matter where he worked, Timothy was known for being hardworking, driven, and determined. He had a gift for figuring things out and could often find a way to build, fix, or repair just about anything put in front of him.

He loved tractors and trucks and could often be found tinkering, rebuilding antique tractors, building something from scratch, or fixing whatever needed fixing. He had a natural ability to look at something broken and see a way to make it work again.

Timothy was driven and determined, sometimes to a fault. He did things his own way and lived life at full speed—often going 100 miles an hour with little interest in slowing down. He was a true hell-raiser, with a mischievous streak and a personality that could fill a room. Life with Timothy was never boring, and there was always a story waiting to be told of his 36 lives.

Surviving are his children, Dustin Miller of Princeton, IL; Allie (Rigo) Mendez, née Glafka, of Walnut, IL; Colton Glafka of Walnut, IL; Emma Miller of Walnut, IL; and Conner Miller of Manlius, IL; three grandchildren, Knox, Lenna, and Rhyatt; his mother, Penny Jones; siblings, Christine Bohms, née Miller, of Oregon, IL; Janelle (Mike) Smith, née Miller, of Sheffield, IL; Carrie Carpenter of Rockford, IL; and Thomas (Chelsy) Jones of Oregon, IL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father; brother, Matthew Miller; paternal grandparents, Virgil and Billie Miller; and maternal grandparents, Earl and Kathryn Last.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Mineral Township Cemetery, with Pastor Terry Lancaster officiating. Immediately following the graveside service, there will be refreshments and fellowship. The location will be announced at the cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded.
