Thomas L. Hoffman, 63, of Princeton passed away at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Born June 22, 1953, in Spring Valley, the son of Thomas H. and Dorie J. (Schlouski) Hoffman, he married Jacqueline C. Jones Nov. 6, 1976, in Rock Falls. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Ryan Hoffman of Princeton; his mother, Dorie Hoffman Savitch of Wyanet; one brother, Chris (Michelle) Hoffman of Plainfield; three nephews, Aiden Hoffman, and Chris and Chad Norris; three nieces, Aurelia and Eloise Hoffman, and Courtnie Norris; his mother-in-law, Donna Jones of Rock Falls; and one sister-in-law, Cheryl (Larry) Norris in Gainesville, Va. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Thomas; one brother, Timothy; and one sister-in-law, Anita Jones. He graduated from Manlius High School with the Class of 1971. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. He was an artist for Monitor Productions in Wyanet. He loved to draw, photography and was a true artist. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Scott Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Manlius Cemetery in Manlius. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
