Terry Martin

Terry Martin, 69, of Princeton passed away on April 17, 2023, after a brief stay at Liberty Village of Princeton, following a year-long battle with cancer. A private family graveside service will be held at Elm Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded with arrangements entrusted to the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton.
Terry was born in Princeton on August 8, 1953, to parents Bernard and Benadine (Thompson) Martin. He graduated in 1972 from Wyanet High School where he excelled in football. A couple of years after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, and proudly served his country in Germany, South Korea and the Philippines, working on the hydraulic systems of fighter jets. He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton. He worked several years at General Business Forms in Princeton and after that, he helped his dad and brother on the family farm, Martin Angus Farms. Terry really enjoyed taking care of the newborn calves each Spring. His family greatly appreciated his loving dedication to his mom and dad, allowing them to live at home as long as possible. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Chicago Bears and especially loved watching any professional hockey game.
Terry is survived by his siblings; sister Linda Grimmer of Kansas City, brothers Jim Martin and Dr. Jeff (Leanne) Martin of Princeton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to the Flags of Freedom.
