Tammy Stroup Monier, 47, of Walnut, Illinois passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home in Walnut.
Tammy was born Sunday, March 7, 1971 at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Roy Vincen and Karen (Hufnagel) Stroup. She married Jeremy Monier March 4, 2006 at Boyd’s Grove United Methodist Church in Bradford, Illinois. He survives in Walnut.
Also surviving are 2 daughters: Taylor Read, 22, and Payton Monier, 11, of Walnut; her mother, Karen Stroup of Westcliffe, CO; 2 sisters: Wendy (Robert Buffum) Stroup and Kelly Stroup all of Westcliffe, CO and a few nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Vincen.
Tammy was raised in rural Henry, IL and as a child loved riding horses and playing with the many farm animals. She graduated from Henry Senachwine High School with the Class of 1989. Tammy attended the South Eastern Academy of Travel and Tourism in 1990 and IVCC in 2002. She worked as a travel agent in Princeton and Kewanee for several years, worked at Bureau Valley Vet for 5 years, and Martin Engineering for 11 years. Tammy was very much about her family and loved to bake.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Boyd’s Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. the Walnut Community Center.
