Syliva Charlotte Swanson

Sylvia Charlotte Swanson, 70, of Princeton died at 10:34 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at her home. Born Jan. 2, 1940, in Princeton to Fritz and Alma (Larson) Larson, she married Roger H. Swanson Aug. 22, 1959, in Princeton. He survives. She was a 1957 graduate of Princeton High School and a June 1959 graduate of North Park College in College. She was a farmer''s wife. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton. Also surviving are two sons, Ronald (Dawn) Swanson of Princeton and Peter (Konnie) Swanson of Manlius; one brother, Fritz Wilmer (Marilyn) Larson of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren, Betsy, Erika, Veronica, Nathaniel, Natalie and Nicole Swanson; and one brother-in-law, Burton (Iris) Swanson of Champaign. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant twins, James and Jannelle Swanson. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Princeton, with Dr. John Weborg and the Rev. Bernard Windmiller officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton and Stephen Ministry Education.
