Susan N. Moynihan

Susan Moynihan passed away at 3 PM on December 20, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was 82 years old.

 She is survived by her sons Craig and Sean, daughter Meghan, daughter-in-law Patti, grandchildren Joshua, Daniel, Brian, Matthew, Michelle, Jett, Ava, Wilder, and great-grandson Levi. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, son Charles, mother Jean, and father Clem.

 Susan was born on August 8, 1939 in Kenosha Wisconsin. She went to St. Mary’s High School in Kenosha. She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where she met her husband Jerry. She resided in Kenosha, Westchester, Princeton, and Dover, IL. Susan was a passionate gardener who cultivated a large garden every year. She generously shared her home-grown vegetables as well as her canned jam, salsa, and (very) hot sauce. She was a great cook known for her epic holiday meals, better than Anchor Bar Buffalo Wings, and legendary cheesecake. She was an avid fan of the Bears and Blackhawks. She spent a lot of time outdoors and stayed very active till the end. 

 An Irish Wake Memorial Service will be held on January 8, 2022 at the Downtown Pub & Event Center 432 S. Main St. Princeton, IL starting at 3 PM. This will be a celebratory gathering to share memories of Susan’s life over food and drink.
