Steven Clayton Shipp, 67, of Princeton died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016. He was born July 3, 1949, in Princeton to Clayton C. and Ruth C. He worked in Wisconsin for nine years before returning to Princeton where he worked for Champion Pneumatic. Upon early retirement he pursued his love of trains, birds and traveling, and combined these hobbies when he could. Steve is survived by his brother, David A. (Peggy) Shipp of Onieda; an uncle, Ray Keith Shipp of Princeton; numerous cousins; and the love of his life, Diana Martin of Princeton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
I will miss the talks we had on our Shipp family and the Clayton family. We will be thinking of you when we sit down at a table for a hot drink.
Diana and all of Steve’s family,
He left a gentle mark on the many lives he touched.
We will remember him always when we have coffee with a friend.
Such a kind man! I will always remember that he regularly had coffee with my father and was a great support to him during his last years. He was a great comfort to my mom and our family when my father passed. I will miss him.
