Sandra Elisabeth Corrie

Sandra “Sandy” Elisabeth Corrie, 77, of Princeton passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at OSF St. Clare Medical Center in Princeton.

Sandy was born on November 3, 1946 in Paris, France to Clyde and Sandra (De’Lille) Armstrong. She married Robert “Bob” Corrie on March 4, 1968 at the Salvation Army in Ottawa, Il. Sandy was raised Catholic and attended the Salvation Army in Ottawa. She worked for Big Lots for 20 years. Sandy enjoyed knitting, crocheting and macramé, and her favorite hobby was shopping.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert “Bob” Corrie of Princeton. Also, Surviving is her son, Bryant (Katrina) Corrie of Princeton, six grandchildren; Nathan Corrie, Deanna Borkowski, Alexandria Espinoza, Dustin Corrie, Christian Corrie, Hunter Corrie, and five great-grandchildren. Surviving as well is her sister, Martha Hardy of Indiana and her brother Albert “Bruce” (Anita) Armstrong of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Nicole Corrie, and her sister Claudine.

A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Princeton Moose Lodge from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.
