Ruth E Buckman

Ruth E. Buckman, 73, of Buda died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at her home. She was born Oct. 8, 1944, in Princeton, the daughter of Joseph and Darlene (Ropp) Jackson. She married Alvin Decker in 1962 in Buda. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1973. She married Marvin Buckman on Jan. 27, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives in Buda. She attended Western High School in Buda. She enjoyed the southern life in Texas and going to the beach. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Also surviving are three children, Lee Anne (Kevin) Reed of Galesburg, Robert (Sandra) Decker of Buda and Don Decker of Silvis; five grandchildren, Vannessa Sturm, Ashleigh Decker, Zachary (Ashlee Connor) Decker, Blair (Zeph) Thompson and Dusty (Autumn Erwin) Decker; eight great-grandchildren; numerous stepchildren and stepgrandchildren; three brothers, Richard, Bill and Bob Jackson; three sisters, Mildred, Sandra and Joan; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Danny Joe. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be directed to Buda Fire and Rescue and St. Jude Children''s Hospital.
