Ruth Bissett Huskey, 90, of Wyanet, formerly of Waynesburg, Pa., died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at her home in Wyanet. Born July 12, 1924, to Earl and Violet (Cook) Bissett, she married Durwood Allen Huskey July 10, 1946, in Waynesburg, Pa. He died May 22, 1981. She graduated from beauty school in Washington, Pa. She was a beautician and homemaker. She was a member of the Fairview Church in Wind Ridge, Pa. Surviving are two sons, Richard D. (Karen) Huskey of Buda and John W. (Sharon) Huskey of Murdock, Kan.; two daughters, Patty Huskey of Washington, Pa., and Phyllis (Joe) Jamison of Tiskilwa; seven grandchildren, Amy, Beth and Travis (Jamie) Huskey of Walnut, U.S.M.C. Gunnery Sgt. Joshua (Sara) Huskey of Whispering Pines, N.C., Rachel (Mark) Brew of Tennessee, John Huskey of Wichita, Kan., and Chastity (Chad) Fuja of Wyanet; nine great-grandchildren, Haley, Logan, Makayla, Hunter, Tanner, Elise, Alex, Leeandra and Laniey; two brothers, Hubert Bissett of Rutan, Pa., and Walter (Carol) Bissett of Rutan, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Harold Huskey; three brothers, Paul, George and Bill Bissett; and two sisters, Jean Antille and Rosemary Fletcher. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Rush Funeral Home, 3275 W. Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, Pa. Burial will be in the Rosemont Cemetery in Rogersville, Va. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Vitas Hospice, 105 Marquette St., LaSalle, IL 61301.
