Roselind F. Morris

   Roselind F. Morris, 98, of  Buda, Illinois passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Aperion Care Nursing Home, Princeton, Illinois.

   Roselind was born March 29, 1923 in Princeton, Illinois the daughter of Henry and Nellie (Brady) Rieker.

   She married Francis Morris January 6, 1943 in Princeton, Illinois. He preceded her in death August 9, 1990.   

   She is survived by one son: John (Judy) Morris of Wyanet, Illinois; one daughter- in law, Cindy Morris of Wyanet; six grandchildren: Tina (Jeff) DeSplinter, Tom (Jessica) Morris, Denise (Marcus) Elmore, Daniel "Rooster" Morris, Jr., Joe (Angie) Pierce, Roxie (Carlos) Nava; 16 great-grandchildren: seven great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Mellendorf of Springfield, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons: Tom Morris and Daniel "Rooster" Morris, Sr.; one daughter, Mary Katherine Morris, in infancy; one grandson, Pat Pierce; one brother, Glenn Rieker; three sisters, Doris Hedgespeth, Dorothy Skaggs, and Grace Schull.

   Roselind graduated from Princeton High School with the Class of 1941.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and gardening. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

   A visitation will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the service Friday, July 16 at the funeral home with Deacon John Murphy officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tiskilwa.
