Rose “Rosie” Marie Williams, 86 of Buda passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at OSF Saint Clare in Princeton, IL.

Rosie was born on January 3, 1938 in Buda the daughter of Lester William and Carrie Blanche (Osborn) Smith. She married Dwayne “Shine” Williams on June 10, 1956 in Tiskilwa. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2004. Rosie worked at Harper and Wyman for 25 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and being outside doing yard work; but most of all she cherished spending time with her family.

Rosie is survived by her six children, Teresa Roberts of Buda, Melinda (Stephen) Hansen of Mendota, Michael (Denise) Williams of Sheffield, Timothy (Dorothy) Williams of Princeton, Jeffrey (Theresa) Williams of Cherry and Jill (Robert) Waldo of Princeton; 11 grandchildren, April (Zenon) Ruiz, David (Lacy) Hansen, Derek Hansen, William (Erin) Hansen, Justin Williams, Nicole (Theron) Lee, Taylor (Jake) Holland, Brennan Williams, Shelby Schaudt, Dwaine (Deb) Roberts and Carol (Craig) Phelan; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler Ruiz, Harper Hansen, Tucker Hansen, Blaire Hansen, Payton Williams, Amy (Brian) Kaiser, Toby Roberts and Heather (Matt) Stabler; seven great great grandchildren, Kelsey and Cole Kaiser, Abby and Trevor Roberts, Dawson, Colin and Jaxson Stabler and one great great great grandchild, Kora Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son-in-law, Ronald Roberts and one grandson, Cody Roberts.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, 30 West Mechanic Street, Princeton, IL 61356 with Pastor Chantha Chhim, officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at Hopeland Cemetery in Buda.
