Rosalie (Metcalf) Bell, 97, of Wyanet died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Heritage Health in Walnut. Born February 9th, 1919 in Athertonville, KY to the late Charles and Eunice Metcalf. Rosalie is survived by her 4 daughters, June Hosier of Virginia, Louise (Pete) DeVries of California, Beverly (Harry) Moore of Kewanee and Janice (Richard) Bulthuis of Wyanet. She was blessed with 25 grandchildren, 41 great- grandchildren and 14 great- great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Tom Bell, step-daughter, Donna Jean, son- in law, Wayne Hosier, her 5 brothers and 4 sisters, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church for over 60 years. She worked at Hollywood Vasserette and Perry Memorial Hospital and retired from Harper Wyman in 1981. In the late 1950''s, Rosalie and her former husband Donald Bell managed the Blue Ribbon Luncheonette located in Hodgenville, KY. Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, June 8th at Grant- Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Funeral Service will be at 10am on Thursday, June 9 also held at Grant- Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery in Wyanet. Memorials may be made to the Wyanet Rescue Squad.

  2. I know it was a very sad day for mom and her sisters but I believe this is a great day for my grandma she got to go to heaven and be with our heavenly father and he took away all of her pain and suffering . I praise God and pray for those that are suffering

  3. Rosie was the sweetest person I have ever meet. and a very loving person. She will always be in everyone’s hearts and mines. She will be missed very much. Now she goes to be with her son and great grandchildren before her. Grandma Roise we will miss you.

  4. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of such a sweet and gentle woman. It is truly a privilege to have known her. She and my grandma Ruby Shofner were good friends and I was fortunate to attend many church services with them growing up. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.
