Ronald Neal Bitting

Ronald Neal Bitting, 87, formerly of Buda, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Heritage Health of Walnut, Illinois.

            He was born September 11, 1932 in Kewanee, Illinois the son of Edgar E. and Bessie (Eaton) Bitting.

            Ron married Alberta J. Wilson August 17, 1962. She preceded him in death June 6, 1999.

            He is survived by one step-son, Dennis Wilson of Toulon, Illinois, one brother and sister-in law, Glen and Doris Hand of East Moline, Illinois; one cousin, Tom Whitney, and friends, Dennis and Cindy Mechling of Buda.

            Ron served as a Corporal in the US Army in the Korean War. He was a member of the Buda American Legion Post #0261 for 62 years. He was a member of the Buda Fire Department and served on the Bunker Hill Cemetery Board.

            Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Bunker Hill Cemetery, with Larry Roberts officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Buda American Legion Post #0261.  Memorials may be directed to the Buda Fire Department or the Buda American Legion Post #0261.
