Robert W. Stevens, 70, of Princeton died at 10:44 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at his home. Born April 25, 1946, in Hanna City, the son of John and Bernice (Kroepel) Stevens, he married Vicki Heward on Feb. 29, 2012, in Princeton. She survives. He graduated from Farmington High School with the Class of 1964. He retired in April this year from Cattani Cranes in Ladd. He was a staff sergeant in the Air National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter safety instructor, and a member of the Princeton Moose Lodge, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, National Wild Turkey Federation and Whitetail Unlimited, where he was a president and founder of the Illinois Valley chapter. Also surviving are one son, Todd (Karen) Stevens of Washington, Ill.; one daughter, Tammi (Marc) Kuhn of Chatham; two stepsons, Brandon (Lindsay Philhower) Sierens of Tiskilwa and Beau (Desiree) Sierens of Marengo; 11 grandchildren, Steve, Ellen, Emma, Bryn, Ben, Bennett, Chrissy, Alex, Josie, Libby and Caralynne; two brothers, Jack (Marilyn) Stevens of Trivoli and Chuck (Carolyn) Stevens of Yates City; one sister, Kay (Jack) Down of Bishop Hill; many nieces and nephews; and two aunts, Irma Uphoff of Pekin and Eleanor Rosenbaum of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Grant-Johnson Funeral Homes. Inc., Princeton, with the Rev. Scott Schmidt from St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Princeton High School Sportsman''s Club.
