Robert W. Bowyer, 64, of Buda died at 6:55 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, at his home in Buda, surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 21, 1953, in Kewanee to Orris and Alma (Chesser) Bowyer, he married Deborah K. Moore Feb. 14, 1995, in Buda. She survives. He was employed by Ag View Farm Services in Buda and was an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed spending time riding his motorcycle with friends and family, hunting, golfing and just sitting around the fire pit with all. Bob had a heart of gold and never new a stranger. He was always there to help anyone in need, night or day. He volunteered for the Buda Rescue Squad for several years. Also surviving are one daughter, Stephanie (Kendall Foster) DeVenney of Buda; one son, Shon (Sue) Bowyer of Pekin; three stepdaughters, Tracey (Ryan) Younggren of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Amy (Dave) Bickett of Wyanet and Jamie (Jason) Smith of Wyanet; a grandson, Cody Crew of Henry; a granddaughter, Bradlie Crew of Henry; two great-grandchildren, Braxton Crew of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jay Fultz of Henry; four stepgrandchildren, Rylee and Chloe Younggren of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Bryson and Landon Smith of Wyanet; four brothers, Ed Bowyer of Merlin, Ore., Dale Bowyer of Buda, Chuck Bowyer of Merlin, Ore., and Roy Bowyer of Merlin, Ore.; six sisters, Sharon Morris of Memphis, Tenn., Diane Watts of Kewanee, Emily Davis of Elliott, Iowa, Loretta Deardorff of Merlin, Ore., Judy Smith of Merlin, Ore., and Mary Warden of Grants Pass, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Alice Moreland; and three brothers, Verne Frail, Orris Bowyer and Bernie Bowyer. There will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be directed to the Buda Rescue Squad.
I am a part time driver at Ag View. I always enjoyed being around Bob. He was always kind and helpful.
Bob was one of my best buddies. I enjoyed being around him. You all have our sympathy.

Sorry to hear about Bob, you have my deepest sympathy in your time of sorrow. I really enjoyed talking with him at the reunion. I will always remember him.
I knew Bob in high school at Toulon and had lost track of him. I remember him as always cheerful with a big smile and quite but among the most responsible young men I knew. My condolences go out to the family.
