Robert Raymond Crawford, 61 passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded in love by his family on January 12, 2023. Bob was born on April 10, 1961, in Elmhurst, IL to Raymond J. Jr. & Joyce M. (Tyler) Crawford. He graduated from Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL. He married Rosemarie Marola on July 7, 1984 in Bellwood. She survives in Princeton. Bob owned his own semi and rotated between being an owner-operator and a company driver, for over 40 years. He enjoyed his career and shared his knowledge and skills with his son, Brad as he grew. Bob is also survived by his three children; Jaclyn (Thomas) Trujillo of Walnut, Brad (Francene) Crawford of Walnut, Amanda (Jason) Hasbrook of Wyanet. Bob has two sisters; Catherine (Dan) Murray of Georgia and Sandra Hickerson of Nebraska. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren; Angelina (19), Kloey (14), Gabryelle (12) Trujillo, Addisyn (15), Ethyn (13), Brooklyn (11) Crawford, Charlotte (5), Shelby (3), Aubrey (1) Hasbrook. Bob was preceded in Death by his parents; Raymond and Joyce Crawford; his two sisters; Janet Crawford, Lynn (Crawford) Jones and one brother, David Crawford. Bob had a love for the outdoors with an emphasis on camping. He spent his childhood traveling around the United States with his parents and siblings in a pop-up camper. He shared his love for camping with his wife and children, spending nearly every summer of their middle school years creating new memories at campgrounds across the Midwest. Later in life, one of his dreams came true, as he became a permanent camper at Condit's Ranch in Putnam, Illinois. For the past 15 years, Bob and Rose have created many memories with their extended family, friends, children and grandchildren at Condit's. Bob enjoyed helping others by completing handyman work. He built beautiful decks, mowed lawns, remodeled many homes and helped anyone who needed an extra hand. He was always available for his children (especially as a human GPS, any time day or night) to lend a hand or an ear when needed. Bob fought a long and difficult battle with lung cancer, after being diagnosed with heart disease many years prior. Later in life, after he couldn't camp, he loved spending time on his deck at home, relaxing in the sunshine, He enjoyed many hours of visits with friends and family, This past summer was one of his best, enjoying many moments on his daughter's deck and swimming with his family. Bob was at his happiest when his grandchildren came over to visit and when he was on golf cart rides with his wife. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Friday, January 20, 2022 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. Memorial service will be after the visitation at 6 pm.
