Robert R. Dyer, 74, of Princeton passed away at 8:06 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2016, at his home in Princeton. Born March 24, 1942, to Stephen and Francis V. (Atkinson) Dyer, he married Sue E. Stalter Sept. 17, 1982, in Tiskilwa. She survives. He graduated from Wyanet High School in 1960 and then from the Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minn. He retired from IRS and LCN, and also worked for Snap-on Tools. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, from October 1965 to May 1967. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church for many years and attended the Tiskilwa Bible Church. Also surviving are three daughters, Barb (Roy) Tyson of Hennepin, Tammi (Robert) Bauske of Park Forest and Debbie Kirk of Princeton; one son, Timothy (Nicholle) Dyer of Princeton; six grandchildren, Paige (Doug Tittman) Tyson of Villa Park, Robert (Kellie) Bauske of Machesney Park, Brandi (Tyler) Clift of DePue, Krystilyn Bauske of Park Forest, M''Lyssa Bauske of Park Forest and Bradley Kirk of Princeton; five great-grandchildren, Donovan Tittman, Corvyan and Jaxson Clift, and Harmonie and Elliana Bauske; four sisters, Nancy (Ken) Nordstrom of Princeton, Della (Wendell) Hedgespeth of Bartonville, Peggy Dyer of Sandwich and Crystal (Ross) Peterson of Columbia, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Sharon Dyer of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stephen Dyer. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Fred Laughlin officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Bloom Cemetery, Tiskilwa, with military rites conducted by Princeton American Legion Post 125. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children''s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
