Robert “Mac” McLaren Jr., 90, of Sharonville, Ohio died December 17, 2017 at Liberty Village in Princeton, Illinois. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd., (Rt.42), West Chester Friday from 11AM until Funeral Service at 1PM. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio with Military Rites. Mac was born December 28, 1926 in Sharonville, Ohio the son of Robert and Clara (Gerling) McLaren. He married Dorothy Tibbetts and she preceded him death. He married Margaret Roseizen May 25, 2007 in Roanoke, Virginia. She survives in Princeton, Illinois. Also surviving, 1 daughter: Jacqueline (George) Sun, 2 granchildren: Michael (Jessica) Sun and Jennifer (Elliott) Aguayo, 3 great-grandchildren: Faith Sun, Declan Sun and Eliana Aguayo; 3 stepchildren: Donald (Pam) Coffey, Michael Coffey, and Sharon (Don) Sweger and their children. He was preceded in death by: his parents, his first wife, Dorothy, 2 brothers: William and Daniel and one step-son, Ronald. Mac was a detective for the Hamilton County Sheriff''s Department. He worked in law enforcement for 38 years. Mac enlisted in the United States Merchant Marines and later the Army serving in World War II. He was a member of the Federal Order of Police and Middletown Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mac was selected to go on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Memorials may be directed to donor''s choice. He will be truly missed but forever in our hearts.
