Robert E. Plotner, 86, of Tiskilwa, Illinois passed away at 2:02 a.m. August 15, 2021 at his home with family present.

 Robert was born September 11, 1934 in Bradford, Illinois the son of Robert Aaron and Mayme (Pickerill) Plotner.

 He married Jean Martzluf on January 22, 1960 at Leet Memorial Methodist Church, Bradford, Illinois. She survives in Tiskilwa. They shared 61 and a half years together.   

 He is also survived by one daughter: Brenda (Jeff) Plotner-Sampson of Neponset, Illinois; one brother, John (Mary) Plotner of Denton, Texas and one sister, Joyce Sharkey of Bradford, Illinois.

 Bob was preceded in death by his son: Deputy Brian Plotner, his parents, two brothers, Donald Plotner and Myrle Plotner, one step-brother, Harold Plotner, one step-sister, Dorothy Calcutt, and two nieces, Charity Plotner, and Pamela Gale.

 He graduated from Bradford High School.

 Bob was self employed as a lifelong farmer.

 He was an avid hunter of North American game. Bob was a recognized trap shooter and enjoyed fishing. He also had his private pilot's license. Bob served on several boards: including the Bradford School Board. He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church.  

 A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Princeton, Illinois with Pastor Derek Boggs and Pastor Jessica Boggs, co-officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Princeton, prior to the service Tuesday, August 24, 2021. It is preferred that masks be worn. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Bradford Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Evangelical Covenant Church, the Tiskilwa Rescue Squad, or donor's choice.
