Reggie F. Colgan, 76, of Bradford died on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his residence. Reggie was born on November 25, 1937 in Kewanee to Fred and Irene (Hall) Colgan. He graduated from Bradford High School and served in the United States Army. He was a self employed farmer and also raised and raced standard bred horses in harness racing. Surviving are two sisters, Margaret (Henry) Bankie of Peoria and Judy (Bob) Hopkins of Henry; brother-in-law, Roy France, DeKalb; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Patricia France and one brother Tom.   1. My deepest sympathy, he was always a part of St. John’s as far back as I can remember into my childhood. I’ve met several members of his family here in the DeKalb area, was nice to talk to them about Reggie! Again my sympathy.

  2. We knew Reggie because of mutual interest in harness racing. He was always friendly and liked to chat. We’ll miss seeing him at the fairs.

  3. Condolences to the family from his Iowa harness racing friends! My parents used to train horses for Roy and Pat and we got to know Reggie really well. Im sure he will be dearly missed at the Illinois fairs.
