Raylene J. Hodges, 81, of Toulon, Illinois passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Toulon Health Care Center in Toulon.
A funeral service will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:00am at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford, Illinois with Pastor Jan Ringenberg officiating. Burial will take place in Bradford Cemetery, Bradford, Illinois. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service Monday, October 1, 2018 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford, Illinois.
She was born July 10, 1937 in Princeville, Illinois the daughter of Ray and Marion (Weaver) Johnson. Raylene married her high school sweetheart, Clarence Hodges October 4, 1957 in Peoria, Illinois. They shared almost 61 years together. He survives in Toulon.
Also surviving are her two children: Dr. Brenda Hodges of DeKalb, Illinois and Brent Hodges of Toulon, Illinois; one sister, Wynne (Gary) Swedberg of Mount Dora, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She graduated from Princeville High School with the Class of 1955. After high school she worked for 7 years at the Peoria County ASC office. Raylene worked alongside her husband in family farming. She was a member of DAR and the Henry County Farm Bureau. She was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and an avid reader.
