Randy married Hazel Horrie on November 27, 1971, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on November 30, 1993.

He is survived by his three children, Shane (Maureen) Kiesewetter of Peoria, IL; Sandra (Ronald) Hill of Princeville, IL; and Marcus (Paige) Kiesewetter of Sebastian, FL; Step-children, Justin Blumenshine of Portland, OR; Erin Gronenthal of Berthoud, CO; Stacy Ghiglieri of Washington, IL; and Stephanie O’Donnell of Washington, IL; Grandchildren, Alexander, Owen, and Bronwen Hill; and Katarina Kiesewetter. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Kiesewetter of Bloomington, IL.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Kiesewetter.

Randy graduated from Bradford High School, Black Hawk East and Illinois State University. He held many positions in life, but the jobs that were closest to his heart were farming his father’s land and helping families as an employee for Illinois DCFS.

Randy was always ready for life’s next adventure, but he loved his home on the farm. He took life as it came and always found the good, even when life got hard. He had the wisdom of his years, but the joy of his youth. He was creative, with a mind for ingenuity and, at heart, a family man who gave selflessly. He was a kind and gentle soul, who genuinely welcomed everyone into his home. His laugh was infectious and it invited those around him to join in. He made the world a better place and will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. Randy passed with a special sunshine in his life, leaving him filled with love and contentment in his final years.

There will be a Catholic Mass at 11:00am on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bradford, IL.  The visitation will be from 9-11:00am before the funeral. Burial will follow service at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.  There will be a luncheon at the church after the burial.

Per Randy's wishes, in lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the family, to assist with the special needs of his granddaughter, Katie.
