Philip Hayden Harris, 80 of Bradford passed away February 24, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 19, 1942 to Johnson B. & Eleanor A. (Deyo) Harris. Philip married Edna Faye Evans on October 27, 1968 in Bradford she survives. Also surviving three daughters; Patricia (Lloyd) Harper of Toulon; Pamela (Josh Tuhey) Harris of Bradford; Kimberley (Jeff) Simmons of Avondale, AZ; two sons, Robert (Cecillia) Singleton of LasVegas, NV; Denver Singleton of LasVegas, NV; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Judy (Jerald) Cobb of Bradford. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Winston, Jerry, Herbert, Bruce and Bradford Harris; three sisters, Patsy Galli, Lora Dunn and Lyn Horrie and daughter Sheila Singleton. Philip served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 – 1964 working as a special vehicle mechanic. He worked to support his family as a factory worker, throughout the years he had worked at Caterpillar, Pines and Chillicothe Metal, he was also a truck driver with Transport America. Philip loved to work with his hands and be busy. He was a mechanic and could fix and build anything and everything. He was a devoted Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, loved to ride motorcycles and spend time with his family and friends. He was a past member of Bradford American Legion #445. Visitation will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 2pm-4pm at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Bradford with Military rites at 4:00pm. Cremation rites will be accorded after visitation. Celebration of Life will be at the Bradford American Legion following services. Burial will be private at a later date in the Bradford City Cemetery, Bradford, IL.
