Peter Allen Lange

Peter Allen Lange, affectionately known as “Petey,” “Tiny,” and “Bucky,” 50, of Buda, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Divine Mercy Continuing Care Hospital in Peoria, Illinois.

Peter was born June 19, 1975, in Princeton, Illinois, to Steven and Marilyn (Dall) Lange. He graduated from Princeton High School with the Class of 1994.

For more than 20 years, Peter worked for Shaw Media, delivering the Bureau County Republican and the LaSalle News Tribune. He was a devoted member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton.

Peter enjoyed fishing and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, and loyal friendship touched the lives of many who will miss him dearly. He also had a passion for computers, electrical work, and woodworking.

He is survived by his sister, Ann (Carlos) Buelvas of Dover, Illinois; his niece, Samantha Buelvas; his nephew, Gabriel Buelvas; his grandmother, Dorothy Dall; his close friend, Mark Searle; cherished service canine, Scooby; along with numerous other friends and loved ones.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Marilyn Lange and grandfather, George Dall III.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 5, 2026 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton with Deacon Michelle Francis officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Memorial donations may be directed to Peter’s family for distribution to the various charities he faithfully supported.
