Oral Elda Hollar, 89, of Bradford, IL passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home Peoria, IL. Mrs. Harold (Oral Elda) Hollar was born May 27, 1927 in Neponset, IL, Bureau County, the daughter of Lorenz and Esther Clara (Ouart) Kuster. She was married to L. Harold Hollar, Sept. 8, 1946 in the Church of Peace, Kewanee, IL. Harold died May 4, 2005. Oral was baptized and confirmed in the membership of the Church of Peace at an early age. In 1949 she became a member of Boyd''s Grove United Methodist Church. An active member for more than 60 years, she had served as Sunday School and Bible Teacher, president of the church board and United Methodist Women and was currently serving as secretary of program resources and committees. Oral graduated from Toulon High School in 1945 and had been a legal secretary, bookkeeper and news editor. She was coordinator for Bradford seniors. Oral loved crafts, playing cards, was an avid reader and a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly of Princeton; a son, Dean (Debbie) of Trivoli, IL; 4 grandchildren, Daniel Clark and Rebecca Cork of Princeton, Rachel (Will) Kenney of Farmington, IL and Kyle (Beth) Hollar of Bartonville; 4 great- grandchildren: Karissa, Nicole and Nathan Lawrence Clark of Michigan and Dylan and Tanner Kenney of Farmington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Carol Irene Hollar, August 20, 1971: a grandson, Brian Edward Cork, Jan. 4, 1978 and her brother, Lloyd L. Kuster, Nov. 2, 1996. A funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at Boyd''s Grove United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Janice Ringenberg, officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Kewanee, IL. Visitation will be 5-7p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 206 at Grant- Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford. Memorials may be directed to Boyd''s Grove Methodist Church or Donor''s Choice.
