 Norma Jean Raabe, 90, of rural Manlius, Illinois passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at her home.

 She was born October 27, 1930 in Princeton, Illinois the daughter of Reuben and Amanda (Holtz) Halberg.

 Norma married Merlon L. Raabe on April 16, 1950 in Princeton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2000.

 She is survived by one son, Richard Raabe of Rural Manlius, two daughters, Debra Blackert of Tampico, Illinois, and  Barbara Bolin of Sheffield, Illinois; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary Halberg of Fort Myers, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

 Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merlon, one daughter, Sandra Boone, seven brothers: Ron, Robert, Max, Russell, William, Jack, and Richard, and five sisters: Herma, Jane, Bernadine, Joyce, and Betty.

 She graduated from Princeton High School.  

 Norma was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed making quilts and spending time with her family.

 Cremation rites will be accorded and a private graveside service will be held at Manlius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Manlius Cemetery Association. Online condolences may be sent to www.grant-johnsonfh.com.
