Nina N. Hartz, 95, of New Bedford passed away at 1:07 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Toulon Health Care in Toulon. Born Aug. 9, 1917, in New Bedford to Enoch and Nina (Peterson) Anderson, she married William W. Hartz Feb. 18, 1951, in Walnut. He died April 3, 1982. She had been employed by E.C. Stickel for several years, and Chester and Bergners in Sterling, and had worked hand in hand with her husband farming. She was a member of the New Bedford Christian Church in New Bedford. Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Hartz of Kewanee; two sons, Loren (Lorie) Hartz of Wyoming, Ill., and David (Anne) Hartz of Princeton; five grandchildren, Lyndon (fiancee Kymberli) Hartz of LaFayette, Weston (Christine) Hartz of Princeville, Alyssa (Chance) Jones of LaFayette, Alex Hartz of Roscoe and Adam Hartz of Boston, Mass.; three great-grandchildren, Karstyn and Scheyer Jones of LaFayette, and Mackenzie Hartz of Princeville; one sister-in-law, Thelma Hartz of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Howard Anderson; and six sisters, Audrey Thomas, Ruby Cooksey, Lillian Anderson, Mildred Lathrop, Rita Hansen and Loretta Anderson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the New Bedford Christian Church, New Bedford, with the Rev. David Beebe officiating. Burial will be in the Manlius Cemetery, Manlius. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed to Greenfield Retirement Home in Princeton or the New Bedford Christian Church.
