Millie Cade, 81, of Bradford passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria surrounded by her loving family.

There will be no public services but memorials may be made to Bradford Betas or Bradford American Legion in her name. If you wish to pay your respects in person, or by mail you may stop by My Place, Bradford or mail to PO Box 107, Bradford, Illinois 61421.   

Millie was born September 23, 1939 the daughter of Raymond and Grace (Medearis) Durant. She married Donald Cade on June 8, 1954. He preceded her in death along with an infant son, "Little Donnie" and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

She worked at Harper Wyman and Combined Cleaning for several years. She enjoyed her word searches, watching 48 Hours, and Forensic Files. Her favorite drinks were diet coke and coffee. She was a very independent, stubborn, strong, hard-working, family-oriented wonderful woman who fought with everything she had until the very end.

Surviving are her 8 children and their families: Shirley (Tom) 3 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, Robert (Debbie) 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, Donna- 4 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, Darlene (John) 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, Chris (Kim) 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, Lonnie (Mary)- 4 grandchildren, Linda (Mike)- 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, Rodney (Amy)- 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, and 1 great-grandchild on the way.

Also surviving is her special friend, Jim, who took her fishing and on trips.

  1. I worked with Mae at Harper Wyman over 30 years ago. She was always so kind and always had a smile on her face. She was very proud of her family and always spoke so lovingly of them. May it give you comfort to know tat she was truly a kind-hearted person. I will never forget her and the friendship we had. I’m very sorry for your loss. The world could use a lot more people like Mae Cade.
