Mary E Heward

Mary E. Heward, 80, of Manlius passed away at 8:24 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet. Born Nov. 7, 1933, in White Plains, N.Y., to Robert and Hazel (Fisher) Hill, she married Robert W. Heward March 12, 1969, Manlius. He died Dec. 1, 2006. She was a 1951 graduate of Pleasantville High School. She had been a secretary for IBM and worked for FS in Manlius, and was also a pastor''s wife in Manlius. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manlius. Surviving are one daughter, Lita (John) Earls of Seattle, Wash.; one son, retired Col. Wesley (Missie) Anderson of Minooka; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Hill. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 202 S. Fourth St., Manlius, with the Rev. Brenda Lovick officiating. Burial will be in the Manlius Cemetery, Manlius. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manlius.
