Martin Joseph Harris

Martin Joseph "Marty" Harris, 54, of Bradford passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at home in Bradford. He was born Sept. 23, 1958, in Kewanee, Ill., to James A. and Helen C. (Finnegan) Harris. Marty is survived by a son, Zachary M. Harris of Bradford; father, James A. Harris of Bradford; three brothers, Terry (Shirley) Harris of East Peoria, Gary Harris of Round Rock, Texas, and Doug (Julie) Harris of Bradford; two nieces, Emily Harris of Chicago and Catherine Harris of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two nephews, Jimmy and Nathan Harris of Bradford. He was preceded in death by his mother, in June of this year. He graduated from Bradford High School. Marty worked as a farmhand and also for Taylor & Martin Auctioneer. He enjoyed spending quality time with his son, also fishing, canoeing, bike riding, cooking and being outdoors. According to his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, with no services. Memorials may be directed to the National Parkinson Foundation or Zachary M. Harris Education Fund, c/o Peoples National Bank in Bradford.
