Marie Amelia Adams, 85, of Princeton died at midnight Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Liberty Village of Princeton. Born Aug. 12, 1925, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Nick and Gertrude (Timmis) Monico, she married Ray Adams in Princeton. He died Aug. 2, 1991. She retired from Champion Pneumatic in Princeton. She worked for the Ranch House in Bureau for 45 years and retired from the Princeton Plaza truck stop in 2010. She was not just a waitress, but loved serving and made many friends waiting tables. Surviving are two daughters, Judy (John) Morris of Wyanet and Anna Murray of Princeton; three sons, Larry (Grace) Vetter of Princeton, Bradley Jones of Princeton and Mike (Brenda) Adams of Princeton; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three daughters, Denise Jones, Debi Jones and Brenda Jones; one brother, Richard Monico; and one sister, Lucille Iliff. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Kevin Fierge officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Wyanet Rescue Squad or Wyanet Fire Department.
We are so sorry for the lost of Marie she was a wonderful person. She will be sadly missed by many.
