Marian F West

Marian F. West, 90, of Princeton died at 3:21 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012, at Liberty Village of Princeton. Born Oct. 27, 1921, to Elmer and Virtle (Smith) Peterson, she married Clarence Wallace Nov. 4, 1945, in Buda. He died in 1963. She then married Donald West May 11, 1968, in Walnut. He died in 2007. She was a graduate of Princeton High School. She had worked as a secretary. She was a former member of the Buda Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra (Nick) Smith of Princeton and Peggy Underwood of Sheffield; one stepdaughter, Rhonda (Randy) Willard of Cedar Creek, Texas; one sister, Elizabeth Carper of Porterville, Calif.; six grandchildren, Brenda Smith, Amy (Michael) Schmit, Melissa Smith, Kevin (Patti) Carlson, Jamie Carlson and Donald (Pamela) Carlson; three stepgrandchildren, Jerry (Danielle) Durkee, Steven (Tanya) Durkee and Casey Durkee; 11 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Phyllis Schuyf. Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. May 11 in the Walnut Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
