Margaret E. Ham, 89, of Princeton died at 5:02 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Born Sept. 24, 1925, in Shubert, Neb., to Charles W. and Ethel (Beason) Hall, she married Donald E. Ham March 29, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kan. He survives. She was a high school graduate. She worked as a utility billing clerk for the city of Princeton for 22 years. She liked bowling and attending bluegrass festivals, enjoyed playing guitar and enjoyed sports, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers. She loved her family. Also surviving are her children, Barbara (Mike) Sorenson of Rice Lake, Wis., and Neal (Margaret) Ham of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren, Ted Schuler II, Jaymie Van Valkenburg, Timothy Schuler and Jessica Stalnaker; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Daisy Gates and Irene Baker; and three brothers, Charles, Edward and Kenneth Hall. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, Neb. Burial will be in Prairie Union Cemetery, Richardson County, Neb. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Alzheimer Association for Research Only.

  1. I worked with Margaret at City Hall. I have many fond memories of the laughs and great times we had. My sympathy to her family. She loved the grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart. RIP Margeret !!!
