Mabel Lorene Braasch

Mabel Lorene Braasch, 89, of Wyanet died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Liberty Village of Princeton. She was born May 15, 1925, in Wyanet to John Henry and Mary Viola (Burell) Mercer. She married Melvin Lyle Braasch on Sept. 5, 1943, in Princeton. He died April 22, 1991. Survivors include a son, Melvin (Crystal Marie) Braasch of Princeton; and two grandchildren, Matthew (Caresa) Braasch of Cortland, and Daniel (Rae Anne Lenihan) Braasch of Coal Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters. She retired from Jostens, Princeton and was a member of the Good Sam''s Camping Club. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, the Rev. Willy Minnix officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the Wyanet Rescue Squad.
