Lynn E. Ferris, 78, of Bradford, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at his home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bradford, the Rev. John Cyr officiating. Burial will be in St. John''s Cemetery, Bradford. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the church, with military rites accorded by Bradford American Legion Post 445. Memorials may be made to the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church building fund. Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford, is in charge of arrangements. He was born Feb. 17, 1939, in Osceola Township, the son of Ross Edwin and Mary Edna (Mannon) Ferris. He married Margaret Kelly at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bradford, on Sept. 13, 1969. She survives, as do four children, Kelly (Steve) Bruns of Alexis, Brenda (Darren) Holmberg of Bradford, Kevin (Kristina Hengl) Ferris of Bradford and Jo (Jeremiah) Franzen of Cody, Wyo.; nine grandchildren, Jewbele Robinson, Nate Holmberg, Justin Holmberg,Jordan Holmberg, Dalton Ferris, Alivia Ferris, Marshal Franzen, Sebastian Franzen and Sydney Franzen; four step-grandchildren, Bryce Bruns, Tony Bruns, Ivy Hengl and Ian Hengl; five sisters, Linda Tank of Kewanee, Betty Tank of Moline, Barbara (Jerry) Klein of Wyoming, Mary Lou Parker of Kewanee and Peggy (Russ) Coombes of Kewanee; a brother, Kenny (Judy) Ferris of Bradford; two aunts; an uncle; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Marshall Ferris; and two nephews. He attended Bradford High School and served in the Army, being stationed in Germany for two years. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed collecting John Deere memorabilia.
