Lynette S. Horrie, 74, of Bradford, Illinois died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at her home.
Born on January 9, 1947, in Bradford to Johnson B. and Eleanor (Deyo) Harris, she married Lawrence G. Horrie on January 9, 1965 in Bradford. He survives.
Also surviving are four children: Larry (Marci) Horrie, Alicia (Claude) Easter, Landon (Melissa) Horrie and Hilary (Rich) Shemwell; a brother, Phil (Faye) Harris and a sister, Judy (Jearl) Cobb; 16 grandchildren: Tyler, Jordan, Paige, Alex, Jace, Sam, Lyndee, Kylie, Kaitlyn, Dalton, Dillon, Devon, Abby, Keenan, Ayden, and Gracie ; 2 great-grandchildren: Gia and Sully.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and five brothers.
Lyn graduated from Bradford High School with the Class of 1966.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother and she took her role seriously.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bradford with Father John Cyr, officiating. A visitation will be held from 8:30-10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church Saturday. Casual attire is encouraged and social distancing and masks are recommended and appreciated. So sorry to read of Lyn’s passing. I enjoyed seeing her at games in the past few years. She was always so sweet and kind. She will be greatly missed. Our sympathy to the whole family.
