PRINCETON — Loren K. Reed, 77, of Princeton died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at Liberty Village of Princeton. Born Nov. 10, 1940, in Peoria to Kenneth P. and Doratha Lee (Wood) Reed, he married Donna J. Weirman Sept. 20, 1963, in Normal. She survives. He was a 1958 graduate of Bradford High School. He was a co-owner and operator of Subways. He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton, and a past member of Princeton Rotary and Princeton Economic Development. Also surviving are one daughter, Laurie (Brent) Hobbs of Palmyra, Mo.; one son, Kevin (Lee Anne) Reed of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Vannessa Sturm of Galesburg, Blair (Zeph) Thompson of Galesburg, Meghan (James) Wade of Sandwich, Dallas (Jamie) Munson of Princeton and Lynde (Zach) Candee of Madison, Wis.; seven great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Finnigan Sturm, Lilah and Sebastian Thompson, Anthony Wade, and Ava and Jaxson Munson; one brother, Barry (Jana) Reed of Bradford; and one sister, Sharon (James) Covert of Tiskilwa. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Greg Reed. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton with Pastor Derek Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Memorials may be directed to the Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton and Mayo Clinic.
