Linda L. Miller-Anderson, 64, of Rock Island, formerly of Manlius, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center West Campus, Rock Island. She was born Aug. 9, 1946, in Manlius to Harold "Fat" and Minnie (Conley) Miller. She was a homemaker. She had cooked at the Hen House and was also a babysitter. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manlius. Surviving are one son, Eugene (Marsha) Moore of Toulon; four daughters, Laura Winchester of Atkinson, Michelle (Glen) Hostens of Moline, Monica (Marty) Thompson of Mineral and Melissa (Mike) Law of Walnut; two brothers, Harold (Sue) Miller of Wyanet and Spike Gary Miller of Manlius; one sister-in-law, Sandra Miller of New Bedford; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Herbert Miller. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Manlius, with the Rev. Carol Camper officiating. Burial will be in the Manlius Cemetery, Manlius. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Pallbearers: Mike Law, Glen Hostens, Marty Thompson, Preston Pierson, Steve Miller, David Karlburg, Jimmy Thompson and Kevin Thompson. Michelle and Glen so sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. The night I took care of her she was “fiesty” but we got along well and I enjoyed visiting and taking care of her. She told me my voice sounded like Joy’s! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
