Linda Nordstrom, 75 of  Wyanet passed away September 24, 2022 at 9:50 p.m. at Villas of Holly Brook, East Peoria, IL. Linda was born to John and Emily (Scherbyn) Huber on October 23, 1946 in Kewanee, Illinois. Linda's mother passed away when Linda was five years old. Linda and her two other younger sisters were raised by their aunts and uncles for a brief time, and then made their homes with their older siblings and their families.

Linda had five sisters and two brothers. Linda was a graduate of Kewanee High School in 1964, and then received certification as an x-ray technician from the Kewanee Public Hospital School of Radiology. Her training led to employment at Kewanee Public Hospital, as well as at St. Mary's Hospital in La Salle, Illinois.

Linda and Paul Nordstrom were married on October 7, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church in Kewanee, Illinois. After they were married, Linda was part of  various community activities. She assisted with the Children's Library at Sheffield, Illinois Library, and with the Blue Birds Group in Buda, Illinois. She was an election judge for Concord Township for many years. She was a master gardener graduate, as well as a member of a home extension group of Bureau County. Her many activities with Trinity Lutheran Church included classroom teacher, vacation bible school chairperson and teacher, helping with many funeral lunches and special meals. Linda also served a term on the church council, as well as an employee. In addition to all of this, Linda volunteered as a certified EMT with the Wyanet Rescue Services for 11 years. Linda also served as office administrator for First United Methodist Church in Princeton, Illinois for twelve years.

She had a special love working with the Lutheran World Relief Quilting Program and as an officer with the Bureau Valley Schools Buddy Bag Program which supplied bagged meals for the children of the district whose families needed extra help for their meal needs. Of course, she enjoyed offering her parental help with many of the children's school, Cub Scouts, and 4-H club activities. While doing all of this, she was a  dedicated helpmate with Paul in their farm's livestock and grain work.

Linda is survived by her husband Paul and their three sons: Thomas (Missy) Nordstrom of Mineral Point, Wisconsin; Patrick (Karen) Nordstrom of Wyanet, Illinois; and Andrew (Alison) Nordstrom of Plainfield, Illinois; and 8 grandchildren: Daniel, Matthew and Tyler Nordstrom; Jenna and Ashley Nordstrom; Jackson and Logan Sperli, and Londyn Nordstrom.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1st, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manlius, Il. at 11:00 a.m. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Manlius Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Church Charities-Comfort Dog Ministries which serves as a compassionate ministry of outreach to those who are suffering or in need; or Bureau Valley Schools Foundation is worthy of consideration. Donated memorials to either of these will be gathered and sent by the family to the organizations on your behalf
