Linda Jean Catton, 70, of Wyanet died Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
She was born May 27, 1949, in Joliet, the daughter of Gilbert and Hazel (Munro) Morris. She married Robert C. Catton June 1, 1969, at the United Methodist Church in Wyanet. He survives in Wyanet. They shared 50 years together.
Linda graduated from Wyanet High School with the Class of 1968. She worked as a CNA prior to raising her daughters.
She was a previous member of the Wyanet Rescue Unit, a Girl Scout leader, friend of the Raymond A. Sapp Memorial Township Library in Wyanet and an active member in the Wyanet Community Club. Linda enjoyed reading, loved cats, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly (Kevin) Rich of Wyanet and Diane (John) Bartolucci of Tiskilwa; one granddaughter, Kelsey Rich of Wyanet; one grandson, Andrew Bartolucci of Tiskilwa; one stepgrandson, Joshua Rich of Manlius; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kailey and Kaiden Rich; one brother, Robert L. Morris of Sterling; one aunt, Joanne Morris of Princeton; two sisters-in law, Linda L. Catton of Wyanet and Betty Catton of Sheffield; one brother-in law, Bill Catton of Manlius; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Kollin Rich, in infancy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Graham officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be directed to the Wyanet Rescue Unit or the Raymond A. Sapp Memorial Township Library in Wyanet.
