LeRoy G. Jeffery

LeRoy G. Jeffery, 63, of Wyanet died at 1:51 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born Aug. 18, 1952, in Kewanee to George C. and Lillian (Nowakowski) Jeffery. He was a house mover. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton, the Wyanet Fire Department for 33 years, Wyanet VFW Post 6634, Princeton Moose Lodge 1339 and the Wyanet Community Club. Surviving are his mother, Lillian Jeffery of Wyanet; two brothers, Robert (Sandy) Jeffery of Wyanet and Donald Jeffery of Wyanet; six nieces, Heidi Jeffery of Wyanet, Luci (Kevin) Hilmes of Princeton, Chelsea (Brian) Aber of Wyanet, Donielle (Jeremy) Guerrero of Wyanet, Ashleigh (Matthew) Stone of Walnut and Summer Jeffery of McNabb; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, George Jeffery; and one nephew, Robert Jeffery. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Princeton, with Father Jeffery Stirniman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family of LeRoy G.
