LeRoy Bruner

Leroy Bruner, 86, of Princeton died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Liberty Village of Princeton. Born Feb. 4, 1925, Madison, Ind., to William and Cora (Chasteen) Bruner, he married Deloris Manning Feb. 7, 1948, in Peoria. She survives. He owned and operated LeFargo Heating Air Conditioning in LaSalle and Princeton. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Also surviving are one daughter, Doris (Kyren Helgesen) Erickson of Earlville; one son, David Bruner of Princeton; four grandchildren, Deric (Toni) Bruner of Edmond, Okla., Coy (Chandra Gilbreath) Bruner of Cypres, Texas, Todd (Staci) Myers of Cambridge and Kami (Chris) Brinkmeier of West Frankfort; two stepgrandchildren, April (Geof) Miller of Princeton and Angela (Shannon) Lane of Hull, Ga.; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Travis Bruner; and five brothers and five sisters. Cremation rites will be accorded and services will be held at a later date. The Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to his family.
