Leah Eileen Mannon
February 24, 1930 ~ February 3, 2023
Leah E. Mannon was born February 24, 1930. She was the daughter of Clarence and Inez (Bare) Hall. Leah graduated from Bradford High School in May 1948. She married Dana J. Mannon September 5, 1948 at Leet Memorial United Methodist Church Bradford, IL. Leah was very active in her church and played the organ for several years along with singing for weddings, many special occasions, and concerts. She won a State Vocal Championship and received an Illinois Wesleyan scholarship for Voice. Leah even sang on the local radio stations and made a record.
Dana and Leah farmed for 62 years and lived on the farm for 73 years. They moved to Courtyard Villages and recently moved to Courtyard Estates in Kewanee, IL. She prided herself as a homemaker and became quite the gourmet cook. She was also very talented in needlepoint, acrylic paintings and French tapestries. Dana and Leah volunteered at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. for 22 years. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe.
They had three children: Gary (Judy) Mannon, Jana (Barry) Reed, and Todd Mannon along with 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, brother and sister twins Bobbie and Betty Hall, brother Lynn Hall, and granddaughter Laura Mannon.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 11th at 10:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM Service at Leet Memorial United Methodist Church, Bradford, IL Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2472 US Highway 34, Kewanee, IL.Memorial contributions may be made to Leet Memorial United Methodist Church 118 E Main St., Bradford, IL 61421
